WWF Attitude by Acclaim Sports for the Sony Playstation The latest and last World Wrestling Federation game by Acclaim Sports is a fun and creative way to spend an afternoon. While WWF Attitude is not perfect it is worth owning if you like wrestling or if you enjoy being creative. Creativity is the major reason I enjoy this game packed with over 40 major WWF stars from The Rock to HBK. While I like using stars like Kurrigan and Chyna for my video grappling exploits- the Create-A-Wrestler mode gives the player the opportunity to wrestle with their favorite wrestlers from the past(like Haystacks Calhoun) or WCW(Ric Flair) or TV(Mr. T) or even comic books(The Incredible Hulk). What makes this create a wrestler mode incredible is the sheer amount of options (clothing, moves, music, entrance, nicknames, etc.) available to sculpt your favorite icon of the squared circle. It is a shame that this is the last WWF game from Acclaim- this game is the deepest and most involved wrestling game to hit any console yet. Besides creating your own wrestlers you can also try your hand at interior decorating by designing the arena for the PPV you booked in the create a PPV mode. Other modes include the fun 30 man Royal Rumble and the dangerous Cage and Hardcore matches. If you want to beat the game - just set the difficulty on hard and fight your way from house shows to Wrestlemania and you will unlock hidden wrestlers like Sgt. Slaughter and Sable. While this game is a great party game and offers a lot of options and grapplers it is flawed. The collision detection is horrible and sometimes it appears that the wrestlers are morphing into each other. The control on the game is ok- but the button combos to execute moves can be irritating(I still prefer the grapple system on THQ WCW/NOW Revenge for N64). While Jerry Lawler is my favorite Monday night commentator( He originated the puppies saying among others), the announcing on the game becomes repetitive quickly and besides nepotism I can not figure out how Shane McMahon beat out good old JR for the other microphone on the game. If you skip Monday Night Football to catch Raw and the Warzone you will want to add this fine yet flawed game to your collection. If you are not a wrestling fan I still recommend you at least rent this game to check out the incredibly interactive and addictive create a wrestler mode. Final Tally - 89%

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing by Midway for Sega Dreamcast Arcade presentation and arcade graphics meet arcade control on a home console. This fun and irreverent boxing title mixes stellar game play with unforgettable characters and the vocal pipes of Michael Buffer. This game dusts 989 studios Contender and while it lacks the real boxers of the Knockout Kings series it is the best boxing game to hit a home console yet. This is the ultimate fun party game- pummeling my friends with a flurry of jabs and uppercuts is the most fun I had since playing Super Turbo Puzzle Fighter on the Playstation- actually in a way it reminds me of playing Combat. This near perfect 2-player game has some flaws - the lack of replays ruins the fun of pole-axing my opponents. In the one player mode - the computer is too easy- this game is great for parties but after I get all the hidden boxers I doubt I will engage in fisticuffs against the computer. Final Tally - 83% DJ JOE INC
